A case opens with its file number.

Follow case information alongside parties, hearings, notes, deadlines and activity records. Web and mobile access depends on your case scope and the separate permissions for each record type.

Summary

01/04Case Management

One case row carries the summary of the file.

Case number, court, type, status and assignee help identify a record. The row below is an illustrative summary; it does not mean every field is a separate column or action in the actual list.

  • File no.

    2026/42 E.

A user-entered case number used in the list and search; it is not proof of an identifier verified by a court or UYAP.

  • Court

    Commercial CFI

The court name and the city are stored with the case record.

  • Stage

    Hearing

Comes from your firm’s status catalogue and becomes a column on the kanban board.

  • Responsible

    Lawyer A

The lawyer who runs the file. Roles and permissions decide who sees what.

  • Deadline

    14 days

Calculation depends on the chosen calendar day/week/month/year or business-day unit and options: deadline tracking.

02/04Tabs

The tabs of the file

Case information appears in summary cards. Web detail includes hearings, parties, notes, deadlines and activity sections, with tasks and custom fields when permitted. Mobile provides the corresponding operations through its own screens and sections; there is no fixed six-tab layout.

  1. 01/06

    Summary, list and filters

Records sit in a paginated list that filters by case type and status and is also reachable through search. The status of a file reads without leaving the list.

Your own case types and stages

Your firm defines its case types and statuses: commercial receivable, employment claim, enforcement proceeding or any naming you prefer. Mark a status as “closed” and a case moved into it counts as closed, with the closing date recorded. Every new status is a new column in kanban case tracking. Managing the catalogue needs its own permission.

    Custom fields

Add text or selection fields to case, client and document records; a field can be required, carry a default value and be placed in a set order. An insurer’s claim number or an internal reference code becomes part of the file.

    Parties and roles

    Parties

For every party, select an accessible client/person record and a role: plaintiff, defendant, client, witness or expert. Every role links to a record ID; the Client role is not the only one that creates a link. Linked cases in client management use this relationship and current case read scope. Web uses side panels for creation/editing; mobile provides these operations in separate forms.

    Power of attorney links

Client-level advocacy records can hold an HTTPS link; saving it does not automatically upload or verify a file. Use document management separately for file storage. Link management has its own permission requirements.

    Hearings and result notes

Save a hearing with date, time, location and description; a result note can be added while editing. Enter the next hearing as a separate record; it is not created automatically. It is included in authorised calendar and dashboard reads. Search updates and eligible notifications/webhooks depend on background processing, permissions and configuration. A saved record does not guarantee delivery. See the UYAP guide and e-notification guide for their separate scope.

    Notes and alarms

Case notes hold a title, description and optional alarm date. Saving this field alone does not guarantee notification delivery, personal privacy or automatic task creation; access depends on case scope and note permissions. Use the task module for assignment and status tracking.

    Legal deadlines

Choose a start date, amount and day/week/month/year/business-day unit. Calendar units and business-day mode calculate differently; holidays are not skipped throughout every period. Applicable options and supported 2024–2030 holiday data are considered. The software result does not approve the legal applicability of your chosen rule to a case. Activity log and average case duration

Case activity shows the operation description, type and time; reading it also requires activity permission and current case scope. The web activity list does not display the actor name; names in this illustration are not evidence of actual UI fields. This feed is not an exhaustive dump of all system audit records or every change.

Average case duration is a metric based on creation and closure dates of closed cases in your access scope; it does not predict when a particular case will finish. See reports and dashboard for other metrics.

04/04Questions

What do lawyers ask about case tracking?

  1. 01/05

How many parties and which roles can a case have?

Multiple parties can be added. Each plaintiff, defendant, client, witness or expert role selects an accessible person record; all roles link to a person record. Operations depend on case, party and source-record permissions. Web side panels and mobile forms use different layouts.

  2. 02/05

Can we define case statuses to match our firm?

Yes. Case types and statuses belong to your firm; an authorised person adds a status, renames it and marks a status as “closed”. A case moved into a closed status receives its closing date, and new statuses appear as columns on the kanban board.

  3. 03/05

Which tabs does the case detail have?

Web has summary cards plus hearings, parties, notes, deadlines and activity sections; tasks and custom fields are added subject to permissions. Mobile presents corresponding operations in its own layout. Case read permission alone does not grant access to read or change every child record; role and permission scope also applies.

  4. 04/05

What does the activity log record?

The activity list displays description, operation type and time. The web list has no actor-name column. Activity read permission and current case scope are required; this is not an exhaustive presentation of all system audit records.

  5. 05/05

Can we add custom fields to a case?

Yes. You define text or selection fields for case, client and document records. A field can be required, carry a default value and be placed in a set order. Managing custom fields needs its own permission.
